Check Valve
|
Check Valves are usually automatic in operation, the pressure
of the fluid flowing in the one direction holding the valve
disc open and reverse flow along with the weight of the disc,
acting to seat the disc and so cut off the flow. Fine Tech
Check Valves are manufactured in accordance with various
standards like BS: 1868, BS: 5152, BS: 5153, BS: 5160, BS:
5352, IS: 778, IS: 9338, API-600, API-602, DIN: 3356/III etc.
Check Valve can be divided into four broad categories:
Horizontal Check Valves, Vertical Check Valves, Flap-type
Check Valves and Swing Check Valves. |
 |
Swing
Check Valves have the lowest pressure drop, followed by Flap-type
Check Valves. Flap-type Check Valves have all the benefits
associated with Butterfly Valves: savings in space, weight, size
and very low maintenance. Vertical and Horizontal Check Valves
have a high pressure drop; their size is a limiting factor, sizes
greater than 6” are not desirable. In case none of these four
types is suitable for the type of fluid to be handled, a valve to
handle that specific need can be designed and manufactured.
Size: 0.25” (6 mm) to 16” (400 mm)

Iron, Alloy 20, Hastelloy B,
Hastelloy C, Monel etc.

Operation: Hand wheel / Lever (Direct or Geared), Pneumatic
Actuator, Hydraulic Cylinder, Electric / Electronic operation.
