Strainer

Fine Tech Strainers are available in ‘Y’ type, ‘T’ type, Pot
type and Scraper type. In case none of these four types is
suitable for the type of fluid to be handled, a strainer to
handle that specific need can be designed and manufactured.
Fine Tech Strainers are tested to conform to relevant
standards.
Strainers suitable for class 800 application are available in
screwed end, while class 150 / 300 / 600 suitability cam be
made available even in flanged end strainers. The main body of
the strainer can be made from various materials like Gunmetal,
Cast Iron, Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel 304 or 316, or
special alloys. |

The filter element in Fine Tech Strainers is made from perforated
stainless steel backed by stainless steel wire sleeve of a
suitable mesh. The filtration area is kept large to ensure that
element does not need to cleaned or replaced frequently. The large
area also ensures that pressure drop is very low.
The design criterion for the spot welded filter element is ANSI B
16.10.
